Exceptional Natural Features of the Area:
In the Kopačnica Valley, near Topličar, a geothermal spring emerges, already mentioned in the Škofja Loka land register from the 17th century. The water, which contains sulfur salts, was used for more than two hundred years by mercury miners from Idrija, who suffered from skin diseases caused by smelting mercury ore. In the 18th century, this natural wealth was also highly valued by the world-renowned physician and biologist Balthazar Hacquet.
The natural resource in the Kopačnica Valley provides proven akrato-hypothermal, alkaline earth water. Considering its yield at the source and its temperature, it can be effectively used for recreational tourism and sports, and—given appropriate infrastructure and professional support—for rehabilitation and balneological purposes. The water belongs to the group of already known akratothermal waters. Its balneological assessment indicates a wide range of possibilities and strong potential for its utilization.
A total capacity of 198 accommodation units, divided into:
- Hotel: 135 rooms (in the main building and annexes), designed for individuals and couples seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and holistic treatments
- Terraced houses: 48 units offering spacious accommodation for couples and families
- Chalet units: 15 private units ensuring privacy and a close connection with nature
The central hotel hub and infrastructure include:
